A good battling performance from the boys today in difficult conditions. Firstly the pitch was on an angle which made it difficult for Levi to tell his position and with the slope and wind it would definately be a game of two different halves and so it proved. Rangers started the better team and with good control, movement and passing they soon raced into a two goal lead but were pegged back by a deflected shot midway through the first half. They kept the pressure up and finished the stronger team adding two more goals to go into the break 4-1 up. After the break they all seemed to chase the ball and leave our defence exposed and after 15 minutes had conceeded three goals for Stoke to level the game. But again they all dug in and gained control of the game to slot home two more goals to lead 6-4 with 5 minutes to play. With an own goal scrored by Rangers(no names to save embarresment but it was a cracking header) it was a nervy finish to a very entertaining game.
Well done to the players to keeping going to the finl whistle.
